Building audit evidence packs
An evidence pack is not a scrapbook. It is a short, navigable set of artifacts that lets a skeptical reader reconstruct why a decision happened and what could still go wrong.
Start with identifiers: case ID, alert ID, customer reference (tokenized if needed), and timestamps in a single timezone. Without those, screenshots become decorative.
Add the decision trail: which rule fired, who overrode it, and what customer communication went out. Include retention notes—how long vendor logs remain available—so future reviewers know the window.
Leave out vanity metrics. Alert volume charts rarely explain a single disputed wallet top-up. Prefer one complete path over ten partial ones.
